For decades Camp Haccamo has been an intregal part of the greater upstate NY community, offering a free, safe and most importantly fun social camping opportunity for the disabled.

Founded and funded by the Rotary Clubs of Monroe County, Camp Haccamo retains all of its treasured characteristics including:

A weeklong, overnight camping experience

A ratio of one counselor per two campers.

A chance for a respite for camper’s families.

Special events like the Carnival Nights,

Talent Show, and Prom.

Community events like the Hike for Haccamo, Laughamo for Haccamo and the annual Car and truck Meet.

...And of course the highly popular “Haccamo Train”, fully refurbished and rollin’ along on its new longer layout.

Haccamo History Origins

Since 1956, the Rotarians of the greater Rochester area have operated Camp Haccamo.

Growth and change:

In 2009, Camp Haccamo moved to its new location on the Sunshine Campus in Rush NY.

Looking forward:

As an integral member of the community, we celebrate our past, but look to our future of continuing service.
